Cable specialist SAB Cables is using Automate 2026 in Chicago to showcase its portfolio of industrial automation cables and connectivity technologies aimed at OEMs and machine builders.
For engineers developing increasingly compact and high-performance automated equipment, cable selection can have a significant impact on system reliability, maintenance requirements and machine uptime. As automation systems incorporate more moving axes and higher operating speeds, demand is growing for cables that can withstand continuous flexing and harsh industrial environments.
At the exhibition, SAB Cables is presenting high-flex control cables, continuous-motion cable technologies and application-specific cable designs intended for use in automated machinery. The company says the products are designed to support demanding motion applications while simplifying integration into machine designs.
According to SAB, visitors will be able to evaluate continuous-flex and drag-chain cables developed for high-cycle applications, as well as compact control and data cables intended for installations where space is limited.
This could be of interest to eeNews Europe readers working on factory automation, robotics and motion-control systems, where cable reliability can influence maintenance intervals and overall equipment performance.
In addition to standard products, SAB is highlighting its custom-engineered cable capabilities. The company said engineers and OEMs attending the show can discuss tailored cable solutions designed around specific equipment requirements.
“Our focus is helping OEMs design more reliable and efficient machines from the ground up,” said Rick Orsini, product manager at SAB. “At Automate, we’re demonstrating how SAB cable solutions contribute to longer service life, reduced downtime and consistent performance in dynamic applications.”
The company will also demonstrate connectivity options that support modern automation systems requiring both power and data transmission in moving applications.
