Gillette India Ltd has said that it has been witnessing broad-based growth over the years, driven by the grooming and oral care categories. The company said its absolute sales have grown 1.5x and absolute profits have doubled over the past five years.
In an analyst call on Tuesday, Srividya Srinivasan, Chief Financial Officer, Gillette India, said the company has delivered balanced topline and bottomline growth consecutively for nearly the last eight quarters, as well as fiscally for the last five years. “Over the last few years, we have delivered broad-based growth. In fact, we have continued to grow ahead of inflation. We continue to strengthen our market leadership in segments like Blades and Razors, and are driving category growth in segments like Female Grooming,” she said.
The company ended FY26 with sales of ₹3,100 crore, up 8 per cent year-on-year, while net profit stood at ₹654 crore, up 23 per cent.
“Over the past five-year period, we have delivered consistent double-digit sales growth. Our absolute sales have grown 1.5x over the past five years, while absolute profit has doubled, demonstrating our ability to consistently deliver superior execution of our strategies,” she added.
Srinivasan said in the oral care segment consisting of brand Oral B, while the manual toothbrush portfolio is growing at high single digits, the Power Oral Care segment is growing at double-digits. “The Oral B Sensitive range is driving the fastest growth rates for us. We have doubled the business for Oral B Power Oral Care in the last three years,” she added.
The company added that it is witnessing growth across all grooming segments in FY26. “Gillette Guard has delivered double-digit growth. Similarly, the Premium Razor segment has also grown in the early teens,” Srinivasan said.
The company added that the male grooming category is growing at about 12 per cent . “Venus, the female grooming brand, already contributes double digits to our Grooming Business and is growing at upwards of 20 per cent. The biggest opportunity remains new user growth,” she added.
