To support the supply movement, HPCL dispatched over 1,86,644 tankers carrying fuel products during the period, including 403 tankers on April 26 alone

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) delivered over 323 lakh LPG cylinders across India between April 1 and 26, 2026, as the state-owned oil major sustained high-volume operations through its nationwide distribution network.

To support the supply movement, HPCL dispatched over 1,86,644 tankers carrying fuel products during the period, including 403 tankers on April 26 alone.

Alongside domestic cylinders, HPCL supplied over 6.84 lakh Free Trade LPG cylinders of 5 kg and more than 26,000 cylinders of 2 kg — formats typically used by migrant workers, street vendors and smaller households.

The company said 99.5 per cent of LPG bookings are now processed through digital platforms, which it credits for enabling real-time demand management, faster allocation and efficient delivery routing across bottling plants, distributors, and last-mile teams.

On the regulatory front, HPCL conducted 6,026 inspections between March 14 and April 26, 2026. Action was taken against 163 distributors, including 34 suspensions. Enforcement teams carried out 664 raids, registered 44 FIRs and seized 4,155 cylinders during the period.

HPCL stated that LPG supply across its network remains stable and adequate. The company advised consumers to book cylinders based on actual need and avoid unnecessary stocking to ensure equitable distribution.
