Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy
The upcoming Future City in Hyderabad will cater to the development needs of not just Telagnana but also the global economy, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said.
Speaking after the inauguration of the new building of Future City Development Authority (FCDA) in the Future City on Wednesday, Reddy said the FCDA building, the first to have come up in the project location, was completed in just 150 days.
The new city, the fourth in the State Capital after Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Cyberabad, would be built over the next eight years. “This will be competing with Global Cities including New York, Tokyo and Singapore,’’ the Chief Minister said. It was important to expand the state capital geographically to cement its position on the global map as well to create opportunities for economic growth and employment, Reddy said, adding that there was a higher value proposition for lands in Ranga Reddy district than gold prices on account of development.
