Domestic deposits rose 7.95 per cent y-o-y to ₹14,36,905 crore as of March 2026, compared to ₹13,31,137 crore in the same period last year

State-run PSU Canara Bank posted a 9.95 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) decline in net profit for Q4FY26 at ₹4,506 crore, compared to ₹5,004 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The bank’s Net Interest Income (NII) grew 3.88 per cent y-o-y to ₹9,808 crore during the quarter.

Domestic deposits rose 7.95 per cent y-o-y to ₹14,36,905 crore as of March 2026, compared to ₹13,31,137 crore in the same period last year.

The bank reported strong growth in its RAM (Retail, Agriculture and MSME) credit portfolio, which increased 19.73 per cent y-o-y. Retail credit grew 32.93 per cent y-o-y to ₹7,30,520 crore, led by housing loan growth of 17.55 per cent and vehicle loan growth of 26.33 per cent.

Global business increased 12.11 per cent y-o-y to ₹28,06,226 crore as of March 2026, while global deposits rose 9.71 per cent y-o-y to ₹15,68,678 crore.

The bank also achieved its priority sector lending targets, with Priority Sector advances at 43.71 per cent of Adjusted Net Bank Credit (ANBC) and Agricultural Credit at 19.52 per cent, higher than the regulatory norms of 40 per cent and 18 per cent, respectively, as of March 2026.
