Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday disbursed over Rs 3,000 crore to farmers across the state under PM-Kisan Annadatha Sukhibhava welfare scheme at Lingamguntla in Palnadu district.
Annadatha Sukhibava is a poll promise of the TDP-led NDA government, which offers Rs 20,000 financial aid to eligible farmers per annum.
"The chief minister released funds into the accounts of 46.85 lakh farmers for the Kharif season in 2026. Under the first installment, a financial aid of Rs 3,125 crore has been deposited at the rate of Rs 7,000 per farmer," an official release said.
Further, the CM checked out exhibits on oil palm mission, waste to energy plant, oil seeds and others set up at the venue.
Under the Swachh Andhra-Swarna Andhra programme (clean and golden Andhra), he laid the foundation for waste to energy plants in Kurnool and Kadapa.
Officials said that these two plants will come into operation by December 2026.
