Harsh Pati Singhania, Director of JK Organisation and Chairman & Managing Director of JK Paper Ltd, has been elected Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris. He is among the select few business leaders from India to hold this prestigious global position in over a century of ICC’s existence.

His appointment comes at an opportune moment as India emerges as the fastest-growing major economy and an influential voice of the Global South, said a press release.

Singhania said, “At a moment when the global economy is undergoing profound changes, ICC’s mission is more important than ever. Business needs trusted institutions, practical solutions, and a strong collective voice to help build a more open, resilient, and prosperous world.”

He also outlined priorities to strengthen ICC’s role in global policymaking across forums such as the UN, WTO, G20, G7 and BRICS; expand practical trade tools, standards and digital services; and deepen engagement across ICC’s network of more than 90 national committees and 45+ million companies in 170+ countries.
