Reliance Industries’ Jio Platforms ranked in the global top 20 in the Patent Co-operation Treaty (PCT) rankings for 2026 released by the World Intellectual Property Organisation. This places Jio among an elite group of global technology leaders, including Huawei, Qualcomm, Google, and Apple, and establishes India-origin innovation in the global technology landscape. Jio Platforms has filed 6,817 patents as of March 31, 2026, and is developing sunrise technologies for the next wave of digital infrastructure, including 5G/6G Radio, 5G/6G Core, satellite communications, and JioBrain.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (TMPV), India’s leading manufacturer of cars and SUVs, has announced that it will increase prices of its passenger vehicle portfolio, including both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EV), by up to 1.5%, effective July 1. This price revision is being undertaken to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and sustained inflationary pressures. While TMPV continues to absorb a significant portion of these increases, a part of the impact is being passed on to customers through this adjustment.
The board of Meesho has approved the acquisition of Kirana Club, a company incorporated under the laws of Singapore, and 0.41 per cent of the share capital of Retail Pulse Labs (RPLPL), an existing subsidiary of Kirana Club incorporated under the laws of India, from the identified selling shareholders, for an aggregate consideration amounting to Rs 202.08 crore, in three Tranches. Post-acquisition, Kirana Club will become a wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) of the Company, and RPLPL will become a step-down subsidiary of the Company (with the Company holding a 99.59% stake, indirectly through Kirana Club, and the remaining 0.41% directly).
Tata Consultancy Services has expanded its collaboration with Oracle by launching India’s first Oracle AI Data Platform Lab and Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Kolkata. The new facility is designed to help organisations shape the next wave of AI-powered enterprise transformation. TCS also plans to roll out the Oracle AI Data Platform Labs and CoEs across four additional cities in India over the next three years.
Ceinsys Tech Ltd, alongside its wholly owned US subsidiary, Technology Associates Inc., has secured major international purchase orders from TSecond Inc, USA. The combined value of these orders stands at over Rs30.06 ($3.16 million. With the declaration of COD for Unit-3, the Ghatampur Thermal Power Station (3×660 MW) is fully commissioned and is now in commercial operation. This milestone will significantly strengthen the reliable and sustainable power supply to Uttar Pradesh while contributing substantially to meeting the nation’s growing energy requirements. With this, NLCIL group’s overall installed capacity increased from 7745 MW to 8405 MW.
ACME Solar Holdings Ltd, through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Sun Power Private Ltd, has commissioned a 33.331 MW/120.384 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project in Rajasthan. The Commercial operation date (COD) for the same shall be June 14. With this, ACME Sun Power Private Limited has achieved a commissioned capacity of 300 MW / 1404.320 MWh.
JSW Energy Ltd has signed a definitive agreement with Kolahai Infotech Pvt Ltd and SFI Parcel Services Private Ltd to acquire 100% equity shares of Maruti Clean Coal & Power Ltd. The transaction is subject to receipt of the necessary regulatory and customary approvals under the definitive agreements. Upon consummation of the transaction, MCCPL will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company.
