I have shares of Aditya Birla Capital bought at ₹315. What is the outlook for the next one year?

Himanshu

Aditya Birla Capital (₹342): The fall from the high of ₹370 made in December last year has found support around ₹285. The stock is now attempting to rise back. You have to be little cautious. Resistance is around ₹360. A break above it can take the stock up to ₹400-405 in the short term.

Failure to breach ₹360 and a subsequent fall below ₹285 can drag the price down to ₹250 and lower. Broadly, the one-year outlook is little unclear. But in the short term, there is a chance to see a rise. If you have the risk appetite, keep the stop-loss at ₹275 and hold the stock. Move the stop-loss up to ₹355 when the stock goes up to ₹380. Exit at ₹400.

What is the outlook for Jindal Worldwide? I have bought this stock at ₹42.

Saranya Ghosh

Jindal Worldwide (₹24.44): The stock is in a strong downtrend since January last year. Ideally you should have exited the stock much earlier by keeping a stop-loss. A crucial long-term support at ₹19 is holding well now. A strong follow-through rise from here will ease the downside pressure. It can then take the share price up to ₹55.

A break above ₹55, if seen, can take the price up to ₹90-₹92. If you can take the risk, then buy more at current levels. Keep the stop-loss at ₹17. Move the stop-loss up to ₹22 when the price goes up to ₹36. Revise the stop-loss higher to ₹35 and ₹43 when the price touches ₹41 and ₹48 respectively. Exit the stock at ₹52.

I have Indraprastha Gas shares bought at ₹180. Can I buy more now? I am a long-term investor.

Jayarami Reddy

Indraprastha Gas (₹161): The long-term uptrend in this stock seems to be getting reversed. The price action since mid-2019 indicates a huge rounding top formation. A rise to ₹170-175 is possible in the short term. But there after the price can turn down. Support is around ₹140. A break below it can drag the price down to ₹120 and even lower.

A rise above ₹195 is needed to give an initial sign of relief. But to become convincingly bullish, the share price has to go above ₹285. That looks unlikely at the moment. So, it is better to exit the stock and come out with a minimum loss. Alternatively, you can keep a stop-loss at ₹138 and hold the stock. Exit on a rise at ₹168.

I have bought Sarveshwar Foods shares at ₹8.90. What is the outlook?

Chakresh Sahu

Sarveshwar Foods (₹3.94): The stock is in a strong downtrend since March 2024. Within that, a corrective rise is happening now. If the stock manages to hold above ₹3.3, then more rise is possible. Resistance is at ₹4.8. A break above it can take the share price higher to ₹5.6 and even ₹6.5.

Failure to breach ₹6.5 and a downward reversal will keep the broader downtrend intact and drag the stock down to ₹3 and lower. A sustained rise above ₹6.5 is needed to go up towards ₹10 again. If you have the risk appetite, then buy more here and keep a stop-loss at ₹3.1. Move the stop-loss up to ₹4.3 and ₹4.9 when the price touches ₹5.1 and ₹5.7. Exit the stock at ₹6.3.
