The CSIR-NIIST, Thiruvananthapuram, an interdisciplinary research laboratory under the aegis of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India, will organise a “Techno-Fest cum Customer Meet” on May 11, in connection with the celebration of National Technology Day.
The event is being conducted with the objective of strengthening engagement with stakeholders and valued customers, while providing a common platform for interaction and knowledge exchange, according to C Anandharamakrishnan, Director, CSIR–NIIST. “Techno-Fest cum Customer Meet’ will reflect our commitment to translating cutting-edge research into impactful technologies for society and industry,” he added.
Innovation ecosystem
“This platform will foster stronger engagement with stakeholders; promote industry partnerships; and accelerate deployment of sustainable and innovative solutions developed at CSIR–NIIST. We look forward to interactions that further strengthen the innovation ecosystem and contribute to India’s technological self-reliance.”
Heads of research divisions from NIIST will make presentations about R&D expertise in their divisions as well as innovative technologies. Participants will have the opportunity to interact directly with scientists, visit various research divisions, and witness demonstrations of technologies, advanced research facilities, and equipment.
Open invitation
CSIR-NIIST has extended an open invitation to customers and industry stakeholders to actively participate in the event and contribute to making it meaningful and impactful. It also encourages wider participation from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from across the country, and will look to foster new partnerships, networking opportunities, and avenues for technology transfer and commercialisation.
