LT Foods posts 26% revenue jump in FY26, but margins slip...
2026-05-15 · via Business News Today: Latest Business News, Finance News

LT Foods Limited reported a 26 per cent year-on-year jump in consolidated revenue to ₹11,023 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, driven by broad-based growth across geographies. EBITDA rose 16 per cent to ₹1,236 crore. Profit after tax, however, grew only marginally to ₹625 crore from ₹612 crore a year ago.

The company’s stock closed at ₹409.35 on the NSE on May 15, down 0.40 per cent on the day, giving it a market capitalisation of approximately ₹14,199 crore.

The headline revenue growth was partly inflated by a US tariff pass-through of ₹561 crore, which was added to both revenue and cost of goods sold at zero margin. Stripping this out, normalised revenue growth stands at 19 per cent and the normalised EBITDA margin at 11.8 per cent, compared to the reported 11.2 per cent. The company said absolute EBITDA in rupees was unaffected.

North America remained the largest geography, contributing 48 per cent of revenue and posting 53 per cent reported growth — 9 per cent on a normalised basis. The company’s Royal brand commands over 60 per cent share of Basmati rice imports in the US. Europe grew 34 per cent, with LT Foods targeting £100 million in UK revenues over five years. The India business grew 10 per cent in value and 12 per cent in volume, with quick commerce and e-commerce channels expanding over 45 per cent.

The Basmati and Specialty Rice segment, which accounts for 88 per cent of revenue, grew 29 per cent to ₹9,742 crore. The Organic Foods and Ingredients segment grew 9 per cent to ₹1,016 crore but posted an EBITDA margin of only 5.8 per cent, weighed down by the ongoing Countervailing Duty case involving subsidiary Ecopure Specialities, capacity investments in Europe, and consumer packaged goods transition costs. The US Department of Commerce revised Ecopure’s CVD rate from 340.27 per cent to 75.48 per cent in February 2026; the company has appealed further.

Q4 FY26 PAT fell 15 per cent to ₹136 crore from ₹161 crore a year earlier, hit by higher brand spend, UK scale-up costs, and one-time inventory and tariff expenses in the US.
