Bondada Engineering has secured a Notification of Award (NOA) from NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) package of a 250 MW Solar PV Project co-located with a 50 MW / 200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh.
Valued at approximately ₹1,338 crore (inclusive of GST), the project is scheduled to be executed within 18 months.
The project forms part of NTPC Renewable Energy ongoing efforts to expand utility-scale renewable energy generation while integrating advanced energy storage solutions that enhance grid stability and reliability.
The combination of solar generation and battery energy storage reflects the next phase of renewable energy deployment in Bharat, where clean energy generation is increasingly supported by storage infrastructure to ensure round-the-clock power availability.
With this latest addition, Bondada Engineering’s Solar EPC order book has expanded to approximately 5.5 GWp, while its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) order book has grown to approximately 1.1 GWh, according to a release.
