TCS said it has taken help of the two external companies to work on the findings of the internal investigation 

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has engaged the services of expert teams from Deloitte and law firm Trilegal as independent counsels to the internal investigation led by Aarthi Subramanian, company President and COO.

In a statement issued on April 17, by K Krithivasan, CEO and MD, TCS said a preliminary review of company systems and records pertaining to the Nashik unit showed that the company has not received any complaints of the alleged nature on either company ethics or POSH channels.

The company has taken help of the two external companies to work on the findings of the internal investigation which will be handed over to an oversight committee. Keki Mistry, Independent Director of TCS, will chair the committee that will review the report and implement its recommendations.

Following multiple media reports on the matter, TCS stated, “We would also like to put certain facts on record: Nida Khan, who is being repeatedly mentioned in the press as HR manager of TCS, is neither an HR manager nor responsible for recruitment. She served as a process associate and did not hold any leadership responsibilities.”

Further it said the Nashik office continues to operate and serve clients, dismissing any claims about the unit being shut down. It also said that

Khan, who is absconding, was named in one of the nine FIRs accusing her of hurting religious sentiments. It may be noted that while some media reports described Khan as the orchestrator of the alleged crimes, her name has been mentioned in the complaints only once.

Around the same time as the company statement, Nashik police also dispatched three teams to track down the accused Nida Khan. While one team questioned her husband, Khan’s whereabouts are still unknown.

“TCS holds itself to the highest standards of employee welfare and institutional conduct. We remain fully committed to the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every employee,” said TCS, reiterating a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of coercion or misconduct.
