Thodupuzha-based Vishnu Namboothiri Group, the original promoters of the iconic Brahmins brand, has launched its premium frozen food range, ‘Vishnu Bhavan’, in the domestic market.

The products were formally launched at Pothy’s Supermarket in Kochi. The debut portfolio comprises 12 products, featuring a range of Kerala delicacies and tea-time favourites.

Sreenath Vishnu, Managing Director, Vishnu Bhavan Frozen Foods, said the company has been exporting its products to the UK, the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia for the past three years. The products are manufactured using advanced blast-freezing technology without the addition of preservatives. The company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Thodupuzha has an annual processing capacity of18 lakh kg of products.

In the first phase, the products will be available across Kerala through supermarkets and select grocery stores. In the second phase, there are plans to expand into other states, beginning with major metros such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi, he said.

The company expects combined domestic and export sales to cross the ₹100-crore mark within the next three years, he said.

Following the acquisition of the Brahmins brand by Wipro Enterprisesin 2023, the group retained its specialised production expertise as an exclusive manufacturing partner. Under the reborn Vishnu Bhavanbrand, the company is now expanding its footprint across India and global markets, including the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
