TVS Srichakra Ltd , the Madurai-based tyre manufacturer, has announced a ₹220-crore capital expenditure plan for its manufacturing facilities at Vellaripatti in Madurai to expand capacity across its two/three-wheeler and off-highway tyre segments.

The company’s two-wheeler tyre plant, which currently has a production capacity of around 210–235 lakh tyres per annum and is operating at 80–85 per cent utilisation, will undergo a capacity expansion of about 5 per cent. The additional capacity is expected to be commissioned in the first half of FY29. TVS Srichakra plans to invest up to ₹110 crore in the expansion. The company said the move is aimed at meeting rising demand for its two- and three-wheeler tyres.

At its off-highway tyre plant, which has an existing capacity of around 75–85 metric tonnes per annum and utilisation levels of 75–80 per cent, the company plans to increase capacity by about 25 per cent. The expansion is scheduled to be completed in the first half of FY28. An investment of up to ₹110 crore has been earmarked for the project,The company said the investment is intended to cater to growing demand for off-highway tyres.

Net profit

Meanwhile, the company more than tripled its consolidated net profit to ₹36 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026, compared with ₹10 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter rose 20 per cent to ₹981 crore from ₹818 crore a year earlier.

For FY26, net profit more than tripled to ₹71 crore from ₹20 crore in the previous fiscal, while revenue increased 12 per cent to ₹3,643 crore from ₹3,254 crore.
