IT major Cognizant has announced the launch of Cognizant Innovation Network, a corporate investment arm focused on backing early to mid-stage enterprise software start-ups.
The initiative aims to accelerate Cognizant’s ability to identify breakthrough technologies and integrate them into solutions for its client base.
The investments will initially focus on domains like AI, data, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies. Portfolio companies will gain access to Cognizant’s industry expertise and its extensive client base, creating a powerful ecosystem for mutual growth, the US-based company said.
The Cognizant Innovation Network will be led by Jatin Dalal, Chief Financial Officer of Cognizant.
“AI capabilities are advancing faster than any technology cycle we have seen. Enterprises cannot afford to wait for innovation to mature before they act. The Cognizant Innovation Network ensures we are embedded in the startup ecosystem where the next wave of AI breakthroughs is being built, and positions us to convert those breakthroughs into measurable enterprise value,” Ravi Kumar S, CEO, Cognizant, said.
