Consumer durables major LG Electronics is aiming to double the combined revenues in key growth markets of India, Brazil and Saudi Arabia by 2030. This comes at a time when the South Korean major is looking at strengthening global earnings resilience amidst volatile macroeconomic environment through strategic measures including cost competitiveness and future growth engines such as AI Home ecosystem.

Lyu Jae-cheol, Global CEO, LG Electronics said, “India, alongside Saudi Arabia and Brazil, is at the absolute forefront of LG Electronics’ long-term growth strategy. As part of our vision to double combined revenue in these 3 markets by 2030, we are aggressively accelerating our momentum across these three high-potential Global South markets.”

“In 2025, our combined revenue from these regions reached KRW 6.2 trillion, delivering an exceptional growth rate of over 20 per cent compared to 2023, outperforming the company’s overall global growth by more than double. For LG, this hyper-growth in major emerging economies like India is not just about expanding our footprint; it is a strategic pivot to build a highly balanced, resilient regional portfolio that complements our established strongholds in Korea, North America, and Europe,” he added.

The company’s Indian subsidiary was listed last year. LG Electronics IR Communications Team Leader Aeron Kim said the company will be doubling its production capacity in India to serve not just domestic demand but also grow share of exports significantly from the current levels of 6-7 per cent .

Besides shipping premium products, such as side-by side refrigerators and large capacity washing machines, to developed markets, it is also exporting India designed “Essential Series” to emerging markets. LG India has two facilities in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra and is in the process of setting up a third in Andhra Pradesh.

One of the company’s key bets in terms of new growth engines is  AI Home experiences with the “Zero Labour Home” vision. LG is building an AI Home ecosystem around AI-powered appliances and ThinQ AI orchestration. At the same time, it is working  towards building autonomous home robots. Earlier this year, it unveiled LG CLOiD, a home-specialized autonomous AI agent, at the CES 2026.

In India, it began the rollout of this strategy in 2025 with the launch of its first AI washing machine and plans to expand its AI appliance portfolio later this year. At the same time, the company said that its manufacturing plants in India have been integrated into the global AI roadmap. This is to  ensure that next-generation components are localized and scaled efficiently to support a broader rollout of AI-centric washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, and cooking systems in India.

Young Min Hwang, Director, Home Solutions, LG Electronics India said, “Indian consumers  are actively seeking intelligent, connected solutions that bring us closer to the ultimate vision of a ‘Zero Labor  Home’  ecosystem. We see momentum in this space and our premium products are experiencing  rapid adoption, as families prioritize advanced, hyper-connected features that embrace AI.”
