Bharti Airtel shares traded largely flat on Wednesday after the Bombay High Court allowed the company’s petition and set aside a ₹8,414 crore demand notice, including a One-Time Spectrum Charge (OTSC) demand of ₹473.7 crore related to its arm Bharti Hexacom.
The stock opened on a muted note and moved within a range of ₹1,786.70 to ₹1,807.70 during early trade before trading flat at ₹1,791.80 at 10.42 am.
The court ruling comes as a relief for the telecom major, which had challenged the substantial demand raised by authorities.
The ₹8,414 crore notice also included an OTSC demand linked to Bharti Hexacom, the company’s telecom subsidiary.
Despite the favourable development, the stock saw a subdued reaction amid broader market volatility and cautious investor sentiment.
