The employees of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGRTC) have called off strike as the State Government agreed for their key demands.
In the marathon talks with the representatives of the employees which concluded in the early hours today, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu agreed for a 11 per cent pay revision and recognised elections for the employees union.
On the long- pending demand for the merger of RTC with the Government, it was decided to form a committee with officials and representatives of the employees to examine the matter.
The State Government also directed the RTC management to positively consider other demands of the workers.
