With a $15 billion investment, the upcoming Google Cloud India AI Hub will deliver full Artificial Intelligence (AI) stack to empower individuals and businesses with immense computing power, according to Vikas Kohli, Vice President, Google Global Infrastructure & Google Cloud.
He was speaking after the ground-breaking ceremony of Google Cloud India AI Hub being set up in partnership with Adani Connex and Nextra by Airtel in Tarluvada, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.
Apart from Visakhapatnam, India would also be connected better with rest of the world by the sub-sea cables, he said adding that in the place of traditional merchant ship routes, there would be digital trade rounds going forward.
“This investment will be an economic multiplier,” he said adding the local sourcing of skills and uplifting oh neighbourhood with j security of jobs, clean energy and water.
Rakesh Mittal, Vice Chairman, Bherti Enterprises said the new AI hub would be a new gate way to new era of digital infrastructure and new age intelligence.
Jeet Adani of Adani Group said the role of Adaniconnex will be to create infrastructure ecosystem with clean energy needed for AI data centre. “While India now has 1.3 GE data centre capacity, this new centre here alone will have 1 GE capacity,” Jeet Adani said
