I never seem to be able to pay attention to our teacher.

A: The teacher said we're going to have a test tomorrow.
B: What for? We had one last Monday!
A: 老师说明天有考试。
B: 为什么？我们上星期一才考过呀！

A: I gave Michael a gift last week.
B: What for? Was it his birthday?
A: 我上礼拜送了麦克一个礼物。
B: 为什么？他过生日吗？

A：Don't you think it would be much more convenient to have our own car?
B：I agree, but we don't have enough money.
A：If I remember correctly, you should have got your annual bonus last week.
B：If I remember correctly, we have already spent it on a plasma TV, a diamond ring and two LV handbags.
甲：你觉得我们有一辆车子会方便一点吗?
乙：我同意，但是我们不够钱。
甲：如我没记错，你在上个星期应已拿了年终奖金。
乙：如我没记错，我们已经用来买了一部等离子电视机、一只钻石戒指和两个LV手袋。

听到人家的话，要表示同意，最简单的说法是Yes。对当权者所言无不应以Yes的人，男的叫yes-man，女的叫yes-woman，这类人多得不必多说。
在英语国家，听别人演讲，觉得正合心意，一般会高喊：Hear! Hear! 意思是‘说得好！’从前，公共聚会比较嘈杂，在座者要叫人留意演讲者的话，会说Hear him! Hear him!（听他说！）这渐渐变成Hear! Hear! 在国会辩论和其它演讲会上都可以听到。
听演讲以外，一般表示同意的说法有Right、You're right、Right you are、Right-o、You got it、I agree等。你当然还可以说Yes、Yeah或Yep。
要说得热诚一点，表示‘完全同意’，则可说I agree with you 100%.（我百分之百同意你的话）、We see eye to eye on this matter. / I see eye to eye with you on this matter. （我完全同意你对这件事的意见。）留意to see eye to eye和eyeball to eyeball.（眼球对眼球）不同。Eyeball to eyeball是‘面对面’的意思，有时有‘怒目相对’含义，例如：I had an eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation with my boss.（我和老板怒目相对。）
此外，你还可以说I couldn't agree with you more：赞成到了极点，无以复加，所以说couldn't agree more。‘完全同意’的其它说法是：You took the words right out of my mouth.（我要说的话，都给你说了。）、I'll drink to that!（我为此举杯！）
