Lucy: Yes. They even gave us a set amount because he couldn't work for a while.
Fiona: I'm not even sure what our policy covers. I haven't looked at it in ages.
Lucy: Tell me about it. It took me years to figure out ours.
Fiona: My agent's no help, either. I can't ever seem to get him on the phone.
Lucy: For the amount you pay, he should be calling you.

★ policy (n.)
★ agent (n.)

I feel like I've got a fever.

I feel like I've got a fever."

"I feel like I've got a fever." 最简单就是"Take your temperature." My fever broke last night."

对话
A:Your face is turning red. Did you drink a lot?
B:No, I feel like I've got a fever. I'd better see a doctor.
A:Yes, I agree.
B:I wonder if I can take this afternoon off.

I feel like a swim. 或 I feel like swimming. I feel like vomiting / crying.(我想呕吐/哭。)

I feel like I have got a fever.(我觉得自己似乎发烧。)

I feel like crying的feel like是固定成语,二字不可分开;I feel like I have got a fever的feel like. 意思则是 ‘觉得好像’,那like字可用as if取代:I feel as if I have got a fever.

然则as if和like是不是通用的?严格而言,解作‘好像’,like之后须用名词,as if之后则用子句,例如:(1) It looks like rain.(看来会下雨。) (2) It looks as if it is going to rain.(看来会下雨。)口头英语往往以like取代as if ,于是有It looks like it is going to rain. I feel like (=as if) I have got a fever.
