Koraidon EX is one of the main Paradox Pokemon featured in this expansion, and it works extremely well with cards that belong to the Ancient archetype. Thanks to its powerful Ability and quick execution potential, it has quickly become one of the strongest meta cards in the set. Pokemon TCG Pocket Koraidon EX Deck Strategy

The Pokemon TCG Pocket Koraidon EX deck plays very similarly to the Miraidon EX deck when it comes to overall strategy and playstyle. Both decks focus on setting up during the early game before letting their EX cards take over and finish matches in the late game.

Try to get either Hitmonlee or Riolu onto the field as early as possible. Hitmonlee helps chip away at the opponent’s HP early on, while Riolu can later evolve into Lucario to boost your overall damage output. Once you have enough Energy built up, bring Koraidon EX into play. Its Ability allows it to immediately move into the Active Spot and transfer all attached Energy to itself, letting it attack right away. If you are running low on Energy, use Professor Sada to recover three Energy cards from your discard pile.

Having two Lucario on the field increases Koraidon EX’s damage by +40. You can boost it even further with Korina for another +30 damage, while Arena of Antiquity adds +20. With all the buffs combined, Koraidon EX can reach up to 200 damage in a single attack. If you cannot find Koraidon EX in your hand, use Area Zero to draw into it. You can also increase its survivability by using Ancient Energy Booster Capsule and Stating Plains, which together provide an extra +50 HP.

Since this is a Fighting-type deck, Psychic-focused decks like the Mega Altaria EX can be troublesome matchups. However, Koraidon EX performs very well against Lightning decks, including popular choices like Magnezone and Mega Ampharos.
