Among these, players are viciously on the lookout for the Grim Reaper Sprite in Fortnite, as it has quickly become an extremely rare find. Here is how you can find the Grim Reaper Sprite and how it can benefit you during a match.

You can find the Grim Reaper Sprite, officially called the Grim Sprite, in Fortnite by looking for it in loot sources like rare Blue Chests and Sprite Chests. Since the Grim Reaper Sprite is a Mythic, like the Zero Point Sprite, it is extremely hard to come by. While you can look for it in regular chests, the Sprite Chests are easily your best bet for finding the Grim Reaper Sprite.

Sprite Chests can be found all across the Chapter 7 Season 3 map, and they usually contain the rarer Sprites. To find a high concentration of these Sprite Chests, players can head to one of the major vaults in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. These vaults can hold up to 3 Sprite Chests in every match. However, you will need to find the Epic Vault Keycard to unlock these bigger vaults.

Additionally, players can optimize their Fortnite Sprite loot path to cover as many Sprite Chests as possible in a single match. Again, since the Grim Reaper Sprite is of a Mythic rarity in Fortnite, you might have to make a few rounds before you can acquire it. However, much like all other Fortnite Sprites, you need to extract the Grim Reaper Sprite if you want to permanently add it to your collection.

To extract the Grim Reaper Sprite, you can head to an Extraction Site with the Sprite equipped or use a Portable Extractor. Since the Grim Reaper Sprite is so rare, it is recommended that you immediately extract it with the Portable Extractor, as it takes around just 5 seconds to secure a Sprite using this method.

What Does the Grim Reaper Sprite do in Fortnite?

The Grim Reaper Sprite in Fortnite automatically tags an enemy as soon as they deal damage to you. This means that, if someone takes a shot at you with any weapon from the Fortnite loot pool, you don’t have to scan the horizon blindly. You can simply shift your focus to the mark on the enemy.

Furthermore, this Sprite can also help you in close-quarters combat. If an enemy manages to land a chip-damage shot through an opening, their exact position inside the structure. This allows you to time your counterattack perfectly.

That said, here is how long the mark on your enemy persists as the Grim Reaper Sprite levels up:

This gives you even more time to follow your enemy’s movements if they tag you with damage.
