The blockbuster game of 2026 just got another surprising twist as Rockstar officially confirms that GTA 6 will have no disc in the physical copy. Instead of a disc inside the box, you will receive a digital download code.

This confirmation has arrived alongside the GTA 6 price and edition details and has immediately sparked a major discussion in the community. While some fans already view this as an inevitable future of the gaming industry, collectors are disappointed by the long-awaited blockbuster.

Rockstar’s Biggest Release, GTA 6, is Going Digital-First

Rockstar Games has confirmed that both digital and boxed versions of GTA 6 will be available for pre-order, but the physical package will only serve as a collector’s item. Instead of a traditional disc release, players will receive a download code that grants access to the game digitally.
