How to Get Fishy Sprite in Fortnite
Pranav Maytray · 2026-06-26 · via Beebom

With the release of the Gone Wild event, Epic has added an array of new Sprites to Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. Among these, the Fortnite Fishy Sprite, despite being only a Rare Sprite, has the potential to be one of the most powerful companions in the game. If you want to try out the Fishy Sprite for yourself, we have you covered with all the info you need right here.

Where to Find Fishy Sprite in Fortnite

You can find the Fishy Sprite in Fortnite through regular loot sources like chests, Supply Drops, floor loot, and Sprite Chests. This is unlike other Gone Wild event Sprites, like the Boss Sprite, which are tied to specific challenges to unlock.

While you can search any location on the Chapter 7 Season 3 map for the Fishy Sprite in Fortnite, you can also target zones that are more water-heavy and coastal POIs. This includes locations like Heatwave Harbor or Cluster Coast, where you find more chests through the secret Fortnite vault, but also, thematic luck might play a role in your discovery. Additionally, you can also find the Fishy Sprite in Fortnite by fishing for it using a Fishing Rod.

Remember, simply finding the Fishy Sprite in a match will not permanently add it to your collection. To be able to use the Fishy Sprite in future matches, you have to extract it. You can do this by taking the Fishy Sprite to an Extraction Site on the map or using a Portable Extractor.

What Does the Fishy Sprite Do in Fortnite?

The Fishy Sprite in Fortnite grants players a boost in base swim speed and a boost in movement speed immediately upon taking damage. This means you can dolphin-hop and zoom through rivers faster than standard sprinting using this Sprite. Additionally, the secondary movement speed buff can be a real game-changer during combat.

Here is a breakdown of how the speed buff for the Fishy Sprite increases as the Sprite levels up:

Fishy Sprite LevelSwim Speed & Movement Speed Buff
Level 125% swim speed / 10% movement speed
Level 250% swim speed / 20% movement speed
Level 3100% swim speed/ 30% movement speed
Level 4150% swim speed / 40% movement speed
Level 5200% swim speed / 50% movement speed

The 10% movement speed buff might not sound too powerful. However, if you are able to level up and master this Sprite, you can gain upto 200% swim speed with the Fishy Sprite. This will allow you to navigate the Chapter 7 Season 3 map and possibly find other rare Sprites more easily.
