Valorant Summit Map Guide: Layout, Callouts, Tips & Tricks, and More
Ishan Adhikary · 2026-06-23 · via Beebom

With Riot Games continuing its expansion into China through major esports events and region-focused content, the addition of a China-inspired map felt like the next logical step. That finally arrives with the Valorant Summit map, a new battleground set high in the Chinese mountains.

If you want to stay ahead of the meta when the new season begins, learning Summit should be a priority. Here is a complete guide to the Valorant Summit map, including its minimap layout, callouts, strategies, and useful tips and tricks.

Valorant Summit Minimap Layout Overview

When it comes to the map layout, the Valorant Summit map is not that different, as it features a classic three-lane setup with A and B sites. However, despite being a three-lane Valorant map, it is larger than Ascent or Sunset.

While Summit shares Ascent’s three-lane structure, its larger Mid area creates rotation opportunities closer to Haven’s style of map control. Teams that ignore Mid will often struggle to hold either site.

The attacker spawn connects directly to A Lobby and B Lobby, giving quick access to both sides of the map. A Lobby leads into A Main, which branches toward A Site, A Garden, and A Cave before reaching the defender side of the map. A Site features a secondary route through A Link that connects to Mid Bend and Mid Fountain for fast rotations.

The defender spawn sits at the bottom center of the map and acts as the primary connector between A and B. Mid is the most important area on the Summit map in Valorant, with Mid Top flowing into Mid Tiles, Mid Fountain, Mid Bend, and Mid Bottom.

The Mid Fountain serves as the central junction, allowing players to rotate toward both bomb sites and control the pace of the round. Mid Bottom connects to B Link and Mid Window, creating several opportunities for lurks and split pushes.

B Lobby leads into B Main, which serves as the primary attacking route onto B Site. B Link connects Mid Bottom to B Site and also provides access to B Trophy, B Gym, and B Tower for defenders holding deeper angles. Overall, Summit features a three-lane layout with a heavily connected Mid section, making map control and rotations just as important as winning fights on either bomb site.

Unlike other Valorant maps, Summit is much larger, so specific location callouts are more important than knowing them all. Here is the list of all the must-know callouts of this map:

Summit A Site Callouts

A site is much smaller than the B site and requires more defensive calls when you hold it. Check the key callouts for the A site of the Summit map:

  • Garden
  • A Link
  • A Wall
  • CT
  • Boxes

Summit Mid Callouts

The Mid area is the most important part of Summit. This is where the map control comes in handy. Here are the crucial callouts for the Mid area of the Valorant Summit map:

  • B Link
  • Double Box
  • Mid Wall
  • A Link

Summit B Site Callouts

B site is a bigger side of the Summit map, but it is connected to a reactive wall from the defender side. The callouts for this site are simpler:

  • Triples
  • Plant
  • Close Box
  • B Wall
  • B Link

Best Valorant Summit Map Agents

Summit is a great map for sentinels like Sage and Cypher. Using Sage walls to play around the reactive walls gives a massive advantage. Cypher camera doesn’t die from the wall activation, so it is also a great way to keep tracking enemies from a hidden cam.

Skye and Sova also play well due to all the vents around the map. Sova can even activate the walls with one shock dart. Here are the best agents you can play on the Summit map:

Best Controllers

Omen is a solid flex agent for Summit, but Viper can also work well on the attack side.

Best Duelists

Duelists aren’t that important, but if it is a must in your team composition, Jett and Raze are the best for Summit.

  • Jett
  • Raze

Best Initiators

Initiators are the best agents for Summit, and any of them can work. However, Gekko or Fade can be less useful compared to Sova or Skye.

  • Sova
  • Skye

Best Sentinels

Both from the attacking and defensive POV, sentinels are the mus picks in Summit. Apart from Sage or Cypher, Deadlock and Killjoy can also work well.

  • Sage
  • Cypher

Valorant Summit Map: Best Tips and Tricks

Summit is a simple map with a solid gimmick in the reactive wall, and to play around the new mechanic, you will need a proper Valorant guide. Given that the map relies more on nooks and corners, team composition also matters.

Here are the best tips, tricks, and strategies you must apply in your next Valorant Summit map game:

Learn About the Wall

The reactive walls are the heart of the Summit map. Before you learn to play around them, you need to understand how to use them. There are buttons right beside the walls in all three locations. Primarily, two classic right clicks are enough to take it down.

Reactive wall with Sova shock dart

However, if you are a lineup-master with Sova, throw the perfect shock darts to instantly take it down. This will easily catch the enemies off guard. Keep in mind that invulnerable state characters like Yoru or Clove, in their ultimate will die when they fall under the wall.

Use Hidden Cypher Cam Trick

Most of the traps, Killjoy sentry, or even Yoru teleport destroy under the wall when activated. However, if you use a Cypher cam through the wall before activating it, that stays hidden, and you can use it to spy on people. It is a perfect tool to hold the smaller sites of the Summit map in Valorant.

Pick Sage for Comfort Wins

The Summit map already consists of defensive advantages for attackers. You can push sites and shut down an angle by hitting the movable walls. That is why, for the defensive side, it is important to have better defenders, and who else but Sage?

Sage walls on Summit walls

In her home ground, Sage can easily manipulate the walls and take vertical advantages. And don’t forget the walls can kill if players are under them, so slowing orbs can do magic with this mechanic.

Make Use of the Vents

There are multiple vents all through the Summit map, including the ones created after activating a wall. These are perfect to bounce off or through flashes. Valorant agents who are great with such abilities can dominate this map. Just make sure you go through the abilities through these vents, instead of exposing your location.

Valorant Summit Map Release Date and Location

The Valorant Summit map releases on June 24, 2026, as part of Season 2026, Act 4. Riot Games revealed the map during the VCT Masters London 2026 broadcast before the PRX vs Leviatán match. Summit will enter both the Competitive map pool and a dedicated Summit-only queue on launch day.

Summit is set in a Radiant training academy and monastery hidden in the mountains of China. According to Valorant lore, this is the place where Sage trained before joining the Valorant Protocol.

The map blends traditional Chinese architecture, meditation gardens, and training facilities while introducing its unique map-changing wall mechanics. The mountains are heavily inspired by the “Avatar Mountains,” which are located in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, situated in the Hunan Province of China.

That ends our complete guide on the Valorant Summit map, including the minimap layout, tips, and tricks. Which Valorant weapons are you mastering to push rank in this map? Let us know in the comments.

How do the reactive walls work on the Valorant Summit map?

The reactive walls can be activated by shooting switches located beside them. Once triggered, the walls permanently close for the remainder of the round, blocking sightlines, cutting off rotations, and even eliminating players caught underneath.

Is Summit available in Valorant Competitive mode?

Yes, Summit enters the Competitive map pool immediately on June 24, 2026. Riot is also reducing RR losses by 50% on Summit for the first two weeks after launch while keeping RR gains from wins unchanged.

Which agents are best for the Valorant Summit map?

Sage and Cypher are considered top Sentinel picks because they can control the map’s tight chokepoints and play around the reactive walls. Sova and Skye are also strong choices due to the vents and utility opportunities spread across Mid and both sites.
