Thousands of workers demand answers regarding the failures in the deposit of the Academic Responsibility Bonus throughout the country.
In response, and in recent hours, the Ministry for University Education issued a public clarification explaining the exact reason that blocks the money.
Why are there delays in the payment of the Academic Responsibility Bonus?
In this regard, the document details that the problem with the economic benefit does not lie with the central entity.
The institution assured that the lack of internal management within the study houses themselves hinders the allocation of money. To date, no university institution in the country sends the consolidated information from their payroll departments about the affected personnel.
The ministry warned that it will not assume responsibility for delays or lack of payment in individual cases without first receiving such data load.
The benefit does not exclude university personnel
Facing rumors of alleged definitive suspensions of the benefit, the Ministry for University Education published a second circular.
The statement emphasizes that the Academic Responsibility Bonus does not exclude.
"We are committed 24/7 to guarantee the well-being of the entire national university community. The Academic Responsibility Bonus is not EXCLUSION. This is an affirmative action policy to guarantee the right to quality education and the retention of teachers at the university. The country remains under sanctions and is going through a very complex situation. As stated by the acting president on April 30, 2026, this is one of the first steps to recover comprehensive income and achieve what all Venezuelans aspire to," the document reads verbatim.
