The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh) reported that tropical wave number 4 in Venezuela is advancing with heavy rains in seven regions in the coming hours.
According to Inameh's forecast, this Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the weather phenomenon is moving over the eastern part of the country.it interacts with the Intertropical Convergence Zone and an upper-level trough.
Therefore, tropical wave number 4 triggers precipitation of variable intensity with cloudy layers over Guayana Esequiba, Amazonas, Bolívar, western plains, Cojedes, Los Andes, and Zulia.
What is the general forecast of Inameh?
In hours of the morning is expected to have partly cloudy skies over most of the country; also, cloudy events accompanied by scattered precipitation of variable intensity.
According to Inameh, in areas of the Guayana Esequiba, Amazonas, Bolívar, the western plains, Cojedes, the Andes and areas of Zulia.
Likewise,lower intensity rainfall in north-central areas.
While in the afternoon and evening, Inaheh estimates a progressive increase in cloud cover with rainfall of variable intensity, some with electrical activity, being more intense and frequent in the Guayana Esequiba, Bolívar, Amazonas, Delta Amacuro, Monagas and Sucre.
Likewise, over Miranda, Capital District, La Guaira, Aragua, Carabobo, central plains, western plains, Andes and Zulia.
Greater Caracas can expect partly cloudy skies in the morning, with some rain and drizzle.; from noon, an increase in cloudiness is expected accompanied by variable intensity precipitation.
