It’s been a few months since Taylor Frankie Paul’s controversial season of The Bachelorette was scrapped by ABC, but according to a June 24 report from TMZ, we may actually get to see The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star attempt to find love. The outlet reported that season 22 (which was originally supposed to air last spring before its cancellation) will now premiere “in mid-July—though final plans are not yet locked.”

Now, eagle-eyed fans realized that the official casting application for season 30 of The Bachelor may have hinted that the latest reports about TFP’s season might be true. One of the prompts asks applicants to note their availability and scheduling conflicts for a specific timeframe, which revealed filming may have been pushed back to January–March 2027.

Fans on Reddit took notice of the potential production schedule for Bachelor 30, which led to theories that one of the men from TFP’s scrapped season, Shane Parton, could also be a top contender as the next Bachelor.

“I don’t doubt it. I thought it was pretty obvious this was gonna happen once Shane started getting pushed as the Bachelor,” one person wrote. “They can’t just give a whole season of the show to just some guy we haven’t seen. Even Matt James was connected in some way.”

Another person added, “I have a theory but only make sense if Shane is picked: He would be a major player in The Mob show. The show has previously stated it would air sometimes this year (I assume fall). Then he would be required to do all the press required of him.”

This seems likely, since Shane, Maria Georgas, and Mike Turitto were announced as part of the mafia-themed reality series after Hulu’s Get Real event back in April.

There is also a chance Shane is connected to Bachelor Nation, since rumors of a potential romance with fellow alum Rachael Kirkconnell sparked after they posted pics from a group vacation with Maria and Mike in the Virgin Islands earlier this month, too.
