Well, Carl Radke has officially entered the chat on the ongoing Summer House drama surrounding West Wilson, Ciara Miller, and Amanda Batula. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! alongside Bravo queen Ariana Madix, Carl fully spilled more details about “Scamanda”…and claims to have known that West and Amanda were hooking up before they confirmed the rumors back in March.
“I had been hearing things for maybe a week or two,” Carl said during the May 12 episode of WWHL. “One of Ciara’s very good friends that I’ve gotten to know texted me like maybe a month before the statement and said, ‘I think something’s like, weird here.’”
Like his other castmates, he initially wrote off the possibility that West and Amanda could actually be hooking up. Then, he noticed something was “off” when the cast paid a visit to Hot Ones in March, before West and Amanda dropped their joint statement.
“Amanda, as soon as the camera wrapped, she was gone. She’s like, ‘Alright, I’m out.’ And there was like a nervous energy,” Carl dished. “Mia [Calabrese] was there. Lindsay [Hubbard] was there. We were all kind of keeping an eye. But the energy was off.”
Carl also revealed that West sent him a few texts after publicly announcing his romance with Amanda and after filming the Summer House reunion, saying, “I appreciate the text. But like I said, even things that I’ve learned over the last week has just been like, the stuff keeps piling on.”
When Ariana playfully said “pray tell” in search of more details, Carl then referenced Ciara’s claim that West also slept with RHONJ’s Jenn Fessler, adding, “Some housewife stuff that’s bubbled over…It’s messy.”
As for whether he thinks West and Amanda will be endgame after all this? “Absolutely not,” he said, with a smirk on his face.
WWHL host Andy Cohen then admitted that this was the “most intense” reunion he’s seen since Vanderpump Rules’ season 10 reunion post-“Scandoval.”
“I was hoping, going into it, that we could maybe set a higher standard for ourselves,” Carl admitted, to which Ariana laughed and comforted him.
He added, “Within two minutes, the wheels were off. It was incredibly emotional. I think we were learning things in real time, which was also really hard for a lot of us to digest. I think there’s real hurt, there’s real disappointment, there’s real lies. We’re a real family, and it just was uncomfortable…I think there was some slight progress, because we got it all out. It was nuts.”
There are still a few weeks till we see how everything plays out on the Summer House season 10 reunion, which airs May 26 on Bravo.
