Rejoice: Another season of Next Gen NYC is here and sees our favorite cast members—including three brand-new additions (more on that here!)—taking over New York City, deepening their friendship connections, and looking absolutely fabulous while doing it.
Of course, with the renewed interest in the show, you’re probably wondering exactly who is locked down into a relationship, and who is single and/or potentially looking for a partner, either in the cast or otherwise. You’re in luck: We’ve done all the Instagram stalking for you and laid out each and every cast member’s relationship status below for you to pore over. You’re welcome!
Relationship Status: It’s Complicated
Ariana was in a pretty devoted relationship withex-boyfriend Hudson McLeroy, whom she had been dating since high school—but the pair broke fans’ hearts last year in October when they announced their split.
“Hudson and I have decided to go our separate ways. While these things are never easy, we both know it’s what’s best for us right now. We are so grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the years,” she wrote in an October 14 Instagram Stories post. “Sometimes life takes you in different directions and that’s okay <3 love you all.” Hudson, notably, reposted the story.

But there is more to this story—Ariana posted a picture of a man holding her waist from behind to her IG Stories in April of this year, with fans speculating that it was actually Hudson.

Ahead of the premiere of Next Gen NYC season 2, Ariana gave an update on her and Hudson’s ’ship on June 11, saying, “Obviously, nobody wants to see the person they've been with forever with somebody else, and I think that's going to be tough. But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.” Hmmm…
Relationship Status: It’s Complicated
Hudson seemingly broke his silence about his and Ariana’s breakup in a reflective post shared to Instagram just after New Year’s Day.
“2025, I never thought you’d teach me what you did but here we are. I continue to never thank god enough for each and every blessing in my life but I truly will never be able to thank him enough,” he wrote. “I can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for my life and those around me 🙏🏻.”
But by April, Hudson also sparked rumors about a possible reconciliation with Ariana. On April 20, Ariana seemingly made an appearance in his photo dump and captioned the post, “Back and better than ever.”

Hudson also briefly talked about his relationship with Ariana ahead of the season 2 premiere, and noted that “Ariana and I will always be close,” so maybe this isn’t the last we see of these two!
Relationship Status: Taken
Riley is currently in a relationship, but has yet to reveal the true identity of her mystery man (and honestly, I love that for her)! While she has shared glimpses of their cute bond on Instagram, she has revealed that her boyfriend prefers to stay out of the spotlight and will not be making any cameos on Next Gen anytime soon.

Riley opened up about their relationship on the April 16 episode of the Heir Time with Reginae Carter podcast and said that her boyfriend—who works in the corporate world—is “really amazing,” and that being with him is “easy.”
“Me and him, get along really well,” Riley added. “I will say the only part is like, we're in two separate spaces. So he's like, ‘I would rather not be in the public eye,’ and so I love that. You know, he's really good with that. Sometimes I'm like, ‘Come on, just film a scene with me.’ And he's like, ‘I don't want to be in the public eye.’ But yeah, he is not a public eye kind of person.”
Relationship Status: Unclear
Ava Dash was—or might still be—in a relationship with wrestler Tyler Cole Senerchia (aka Hook).
The pair started getting cozy in 2025, but haven’t been seen together much recently—and one of her recent TikToks lowkey hints at them possibly being broken up.
Relationship Status: Taken
Brooks has been in a relationship with his boyfriend, Kade Thomas, since 2024. While the couple tends to keep their relationship out of the public eye, he hinted in a May interview with Us Weekly that fans will see more of them together in Next Gen NYC season 2.

“I think you’ll see more about my relationship life in season 2,” he told the outlet. “My boyfriend isn’t really in the public, so it’s definitely a new world for him. I love keeping that sacred but, at the end of the day, I signed up for reality TV. It’s all about showing every aspect of our lives. I hope that it shows other people what a great relationship can look like.”
Relationship Status: (Most Likely) Taken
Emira confirmed that she was in a relationship with Kevin Stefanick back in season 1 of Next Gen NYC and said the sweetest things about their bond, which all started after they matched on Hinge.
“I'm dating this guy, Kevin,” she said in a season 1 confessional. “The sweetest boy ever. It's my first serious, serious relationship.”
As the show progressed, Emira shared that she and Kevin share a ton in common and noted that he balances her out. “I feel like we are the same person, different font,” she explained. “Dating someone who is really calm and grounded is the most insane experience. I'm so neurotic, and I'm running on steam 24/7. He's just so calm and collected, and grounded, and brings me back down to earth.”

While Emira and Kevin have not appeared together on social media in a minute, she noted that she prefers to keep their relationship under wraps in a July 2025 interview with PAPER.
“My relationship is one of the things that I have never really shared on social media. We definitely had a conversation. And, you know, he's great. He loves it. He loves it because I love it. And so it was really fun that we got to do this together. It’s one of the things that my audience has always been asking for, they want to see more of my life,” she told the magazine. “They want to see, and they're so invested that they want to gain more knowledge about who I am and what my day-to-day life is like. And that's definitely, obviously a big part of it.”
That said, assuming these two are still together until Emira says otherwise!
Relationship Status: Taken
Gia has been dating her boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, since 2020 and still shares regular glimpses of their relationship online.
In April, Gia celebrated Christian’s birthday with the sweetest Instagram post: “Happy birthday to the boy who makes me the happiest girl in the world,” she wrote. “Six years with you and somehow every year just gets better. Cheers to celebrating you and all the love we've built together. I love you more than words today, tomorrow, and always.”
Expect this couple to be super locked down in the next few years—Christian appeared on Gia’s Casual Chaos podcast where they both discussed wanting to have kids and potentially getting engaged. That last one comes with a caveat, though: “I don't want you to know at all,” he told her during the episode. “I want the photographer to be hidden.”
Relationship Status: Single
While Shai explored his dating options in the first season of Next Gen, he appears to be super single RN and is loving life in Manhattan and beyond—can’t blame him!
Relationship Status: Taken
After breaking up with her ex, Omar Zaki, during a trip to Singapore—which was chronicled on the show—she admitted that she briefly dated “another crypto guy who wanted me to travel the world with him, but I ultimately decided to not pursue this relationship and stay in New York to focus on my career” in a July 2025 interview with The Daily Dish.
By November, Georgia confirmed that she was in a relationship with a brand new man, but has kept details about that relationship private in the months since.
Relationship Status: Single
Charlie doesn’t appear to be in any relationship at the moment, and hasn’t shared too much about what he’s been up to since season 1 on Instagram. But perhaps that might change with season 2…
Relationship Status: Single
Liam appears to be single at the moment, and doesn’t mind exploring relationships within the Next Gen friend group, according to his bio which reads: “Confident and direct, Liam has his eye on someone in the group, and he's not shy about making it known.”
Relationship Status: Single
Rowan hasn’t shared any signs of a romantic relationship to her social media pages or otherwise, and seems to be laser-focused on making a name for herself in entertainment, which will be a core storyline of hers on the show.
Relationship Status: (Most Likely) Single
Like Rowan, Kendall also appears to be laser-focused on her career. She works in tech as a “Senior Growth Strategy and Partnerships Manager,” according to her LinkedIn profile—does she even have time to date, let alone be on the show???
