Off Campus might be the steamiest show on TV right now. The Prime series, which is based on Elle Kennedy’s hockey romance books, follows the love story of Hannah (played by Ella Bright) and Garrett (played by Belmont Cameli), who make a “deal” at college. To put it simply: she’ll tutor him in exchange for him pretending to be her boyfriend to get the attention of her crush. Obviously, they fall for each other—as do several other couples on the show!—and there are plenty of sex scenes as a result.

Ella opened up about filming the sex scenes, saying the cast worked closely with intimacy coordinators.

“I mean, we had such amazing conversations with everybody involved,” she told CinemaBlend. “We're so close, and our showrunner is so incredible, and we had amazing intimacy coordinators. You know, there's nothing inherently sexy at all about filming a sex scene. So everything's very choreographed, and it couldn't have been a more comfortable environment for us. And also, it's so character-driven. All of these are very emotional scenes for the characters in many ways. So it just felt very important to the story that we were telling.”

She added, “It’s a team effort. Nobody’s thrilled to be there. It's like, yeah, everybody's on the same team. And yeah, I mean, they ended up, you know, like those dayswere treated with just as much care as everything else, and even more so.”

Josh Heuston, who plays Hannah’s crush Justin, also spoke about working with the intimacy coordinators, saying “Yeah, I think every single scene, we had an intimacy coordinator. And for a lot of mine, we had rehearsals for it and blocking, and so by the end of it, it's just like a dance, essentially. My main thing is that everyone just needs to feel safe in those sorts of scenes, and I think everyone felt pretty good in all of them. And yeah, I think you can see that in the final product as well.”
