The Perfect Match season 4 finale just dropped on Netflix, and already, fans are scrambling to figure out where TF everyone stands now…especially when it comes to Chris Dahlan and Kayla Richart. The two had a very complicated run on the show, but during the finale, Kayla split from her short-lived match Weston Richey to return to Chris. Then Chris’s original match, Mackenzie Bellows, dropped a bombshell, revealing Kayla and Chris had been using Spotify to message each other with a production-provided iPad the whole show.

So! Where do they stand after all that drama? It’s…a little confusing. During the finale credits, winners Dave Hand and Sophie Willett revealed that Chris ended up getting together with Natalie Cruz in December 2025, soon after filming wrapped, despite never having matched during the season. Plot twist!

But it seems that unexpected romance was short-lived. As Natalie revealed to Tudum, she and Chris “dated for about three months” and she is now “single and enjoying life.”

And while Chris and Kayla have yet to provide an update on their status themselves, fellow Perfect Match cast member Ally Lewber spilled some tea. According to Ally: “Chris was dating Natalie, and now he’s dating Kayla again.” Iiiinteresting!

Again, they have yet to confirm this themselves. However, due to having way too much time on my hands, I did a deep dive and found some interesting tidbits for us to read into. Like the fact that Chris has been consistently liking Kayla’s posts on Instagram AND leaving fire emojis:

So if they aren’t dating, things are at the very least flirty!

The two also attended the same promo event on May 6 and both posted photos. There’s not a lot to analyze body language wise, but they’re clearly on good terms.

Even though Kayla did just post this coupley-looking photo with DeMari Davis…

We’ll see what the future holds for Chris and Kayla (if anything!).
