Currently preparing to pivot your personality to “person who won’t stop talking about Off Campus?” Then you should probably read (re-read?) the book by Elle Kennedy, because it looks like we’re in for some changes to the source material!

In the novel, Hannah and Garrett meet in class, setting the stage for Garrett asking her to be his tutor. But the show switches things up and has these two meet when Hannah accidentally walks in on Garrett naked in the shower.

“I think it’s great, because obviously in the books, it’s a first-person narration, so it’s hard to kind of let the audience understand that they’ve been in each other’s orbit,” Ella Bright said of the switch-up. “Hannah knows who Garrett is, but he doesn’t know who she is. And it’s kind of like, he’s the hockey god around school. There’s a way to translate that that we had to show without using voiceover. I thought that was a really fun way of showing that first beginning meet.”

Meanwhile, Belmont Cameli said, “I’m was just so glad that the water was warm. I was so scared it was gonna be cold, but they kept it nice and steamy.” AND apparently the scene took a full “30 hours” to film, with Ella noting, “The shower actually broke at one point.”
