Tamil Nadu may be on the brink of a historic political shift as the latest exit poll projections suggest a dramatic three-way contest that could redefine the state’s political landscape. According to Axis My India, the long-standing dominance of the DMK–AIADMK alliance system is under serious pressure, with actor-turned-politician Vijay emerging as a formidable challenger through his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK). The projections indicate a neck-and-neck battle between the DMK alliance led by M. K. Stalin and Vijay’s TVK, while the AIADMK, headed by Edappadi K. Palaniswami, appears to be trailing significantly. What makes this contest even more compelling is the vote share dynamic, with both the DMK and TVK projected to secure nearly equal support, signalling a major churn in voter sentiment.
