The Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate allegations related to the handling of donation funds at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has issued its first official response, stating that it will extend full cooperation to the investigating agency. Trust representative Gopal Rao said audit processes involving the Trust and the State Bank of India were already in progress. According to the Trust, it had sought an independent investigation to establish facts and address concerns surrounding the issue. The SIT is expected to begin its work in Ayodhya soon, with its findings likely to determine the next course of action.
