

























At the European Round Table for Industry in Gothenburg, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen praised India-EU ties and called the proposed India-EU trade pact the “mother of all deals.” Referring to her recent summit with PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi, she said both sides are committed to finalising the landmark agreement by the end of 2026 and implementing it at record speed. Von der Leyen added that the trade deal would pave the way for stronger investment partnerships and deeper bilateral cooperation. She also highlighted Sweden’s ambitious goal of doubling economic exchange with India within the next five years.
