Speaking about the incident, Adityanath said a retiring DGP brought the matter to his attention, revealing that the land, originally belonging to the UP Police and earmarked for a forensic institute, had been illegally occupied. The Chief Minister said he ordered an immediate review of records, initiated legal action, and directed authorities to move swiftly. According to him, bulldozers reached the site the very next day, prompting the encroacher to offer to surrender the land. The recovered property now hosts educational programs, including degree, diploma, and certificate courses.
