Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the Samajwadi Party of inflating the cost of the Purvanchal Expressway project, alleging that changes made by his government reduced the construction cost from the original tender estimate. Addressing a public gathering, Yogi claimed the BJP government saved thousands of crores by cancelling and reissuing the tender with revised conditions. He also accused the SP of misleading the public and linked the controversy to recent remarks on Ayodhya and Ram devotees.
