The government held the opening ceremony for the "Startup Venture Campus Seoul (hereinafter referred to as SVC Seoul)" created near Hongdae in Seoul on the 20th. It is a new startup hub connecting the global innovation ecosystem.
According to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, 'SVC Seoul' is a startup hub created to organically connect startups with high potential for overseas expansion, domestic and foreign companies, universities, and investors. In particular, located in the Hongdae area where young creativity and global culture coexist, it serves as a growth platform for startups in the fields of AI, Beauty·Fashion, and Content·Culture.
Currently, startups in the 'A·B·C' fields with overseas expansion potential and innovation are settled in 'SVC Seoul'. ABC stands for AI, Beauty·Fashion, and Content·Culture.
It also operates international investment firms such as Antler and Shorooq Partners, which run investment linkage programs. In addition, major domestic and global companies including Microsoft, Hyundai Motor, and Naver Cloud participate to jointly promote open innovation programs.
Here, collaboration among入驻 companies, investment connections, global acceleration (support for corporate growth), overseas expansion support, and exchange events are operated on an ongoing basis to systematically support startups in entering the global market.

Minister Han Seok-sook of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups said in her welcome speech, "Innovation now begins with the power of connection," adding, "We will actively support SVC Seoul in establishing itself as an innovation platform that connects people and businesses, technology and investment, and Korea with the world." She further emphasized, "If the creativity of our country's startups is combined with world-class digital capabilities, we can fully leap forward as a global innovation leader," and expressed her hope that "SVC Seoul will serve as the starting point for opening the future."
Meanwhile, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to continue expanding hubs for connection with the global startup ecosystem and actively support domestic startups' overseas expansion and scale-up by fostering a private-led, open innovation ecosystem.
