Join the 2026 SASE Summit: Building Autonomous Trust for ...
Anthony James · 2026-09-02 · via Fortinet All Blogs

AI is transforming more than just the applications organizations rely on. It is also reshaping who and what can connect to enterprise resources, how data moves, and where and how security controls are deployed. Your employees and devices now operate in digital environments shared with AI applications, large language models (LLMs), agents, APIs, and machine-to-machine communications. And while these new interactions can certainly boost productivity and speed up innovation, they also create access patterns and security risks that traditional security architectures weren’t built to handle.

Autonomous trust does not mean automatically trusting AI systems or removing humans from security decisions. It involves building an architecture that reliably manages access and safeguards data as human and machine activities become more decentralized, dynamic, and interconnected. Achieving this requires comprehensive visibility, uniform policy enforcement, and adaptable security measures that do not introduce operational complexity.

On September 15 and 17, Fortinet will host the 2026 SASE Summit, The Age of Autonomous Trust. This global virtual event will bring together Gartner analysts, Fortinet experts, and industry leaders to examine how security and networking strategies must evolve for the AI era.

What You Will Learn

The summit will open with Gartner Senior Director Analyst Charanpal Bhogal, who will share Gartner’s perspective on the forces reshaping the secure access service edge (SASE) market. He’ll explore how AI and autonomous agents are changing the security landscape, why platform consolidation continues to accelerate, and how sovereignty is becoming increasingly important consideration for SASE architecture and deployment.

Then Fortinet leaders and product experts will explore how Unified SASE is evolving to secure users, devices, applications, data, and AI-driven interactions, all enabled by a converged security and networking architecture.

Across the summit, attendees will hear practical perspectives on several challenges now facing security and IT teams, such as:

  • Securing generative AI (GenAI) adoption: A focused session and live demonstration will examine how organizations can gain visibility into GenAI application use, reduce the risk of sensitive data exposure, and apply consistent protections to prompts, responses, and model interactions.
  • Extending trust to AI-driven activity: Attendees will learn why LLMs, AI agents, APIs, and model context protocol traffic require organizations to rethink how they govern access and data flows across distributed environments.
  • Modernizing access beyond VPN replacement: A customer-focused conversation will look at how organizations can move beyond traditional remote access and support employees, branches, contractors, third parties, and unmanaged devices with flexible, least-privilege access.
  • Meeting sovereignty requirements: Sessions on Sovereign SASE will explore options for placing security inspection, logging, policy enforcement, and management closer to users and data, including within customer-controlled environments, while preserving a consistent operational model.

Practical Guidance for the Next Phase of SASE

The summit is designed for security and IT decision-makers navigating the operational realities of AI adoption, hybrid infrastructures, and expanding regulatory requirements. In addition to analyst insights and Fortinet’s product strategy, attendees will gain real-world perspectives from industry leaders and see live demonstrations of Unified SASE capabilities.

The goal is to help organizations make better architectural decisions now, before fragmented approaches to AI security, access, and sovereignty create another generation of disconnected tools and policies. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how Unified SASE can streamline operations, enhance cyber resilience, and provide a more consistent foundation for securing existing and emerging digital interactions.

The 2026 SASE Summit will be presented at the following times:

  • Americas: September 15 at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET
  • India and SAARC: September 17 at 10:30 a.m. IST
  • EMEA: September 17 at 10:30 a.m. CEST
  • APAC: September 17 at 11:00 a.m. SGT

The virtual event is free. Eligible attendees can also earn Continuing Professional Education credits by attending live. See the event FAQ for eligibility requirements.
