Amazon RDS for SQL Server now supports SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) in Multidimensional mode for SQL Server 2019. There is no additional cost to install SSAS directly on your Amazon RDS for SQL Server DB instance.
SSAS is a Microsoft Business Intelligence tool for developing enterprise-level Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) solutions. You can now configure Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) in Multidimensional mode on Amazon RDS for SQL Server with SQL Server 2019 version 15.00.4153 or higher. Amazon RDS supports SSAS in the Single-AZ configuration for SQL Server Standard and Enterprise Editions.
