Agents for Amazon Bedrock enable developers to create generative AI-based applications that can complete complex tasks for a wide range of use cases and deliver answers based on company knowledge sources. In order to complete complex tasks, with high accuracy, reasoning capabilities of the underlying foundational model (FM) play a critical role.

Today, we are launching support for Anthropic Claude 3 Haiku and Sonnet models with Agents for Amazon Bedrock. These models are faster and more accurate relative to previous models, enabling users to build faster and more intelligent Agents.

Claude 3 Haiku optimizes for performance and cost, and is best suited for use-cases that require quick and accurate support in real-time interactions, summarization, simple RAG workflows without complex reasoning. Claude 3 Sonnet is faster than Claude 2 and Claude 2.1 with higher levels of intelligence and excels at use-cases for workflow automation, and complex reasoning on-top of RAG over vast amounts of knowledge.
