But if you came out at that place and time, you were for all intents and purposes signing your death warrant. As soon as they could, they got out and headed to San Francisco. I get that. I remember Tom Robinson (of the Ton Robinson Band) saying back in the 60s if you came out as gay, you got arrested (at least in England anyway) which I thought was ridiculous. So I guess people feared of punishment for coming out back then. ♥ 4:20pm
