OK, that's not very good, but I tried. Has anyone else come up with something clever for what WFMU call letters could stand for?

Hello Jessica. Hello all.
I am listening to this show for the first time if my memory is correct. The show's description reminds me of a Finnish word called Kalsarikännit - which means drinking alcohol at home in one's underwear.

As a parent raising two children (8 and 11) that play outside, draw with paper and pens, paint, make music, write stories, explore their imaginations, and use the computer as a tool to type, program, and learn with an occasional NES/SNES game thrown in on Fridays, I want to say that it is entirely possible to not give in to the societal pressures of letting them live digital lives.

Ha! Stay strong Jessica.
And it isn't always easy when hanging out with other families who do let their kids have tablets, social media accounts, cell phones, or just generally let their kids watch gobs of YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, etc.
People will take your choices personally. It's strange. Parents, like anyone else, are always judging themselves, comparing their lives and families to others.
The world is a wild place.
If you have any friends with children, help them live off the screens as much as you can. Kids still love playing. And so do some parents. Ha!

Oh, definitely the Lamestain generation.
For example, the NYT times calls, asking us to describe what our hot new scene is all about, we'll just make up a bunch of bullshit deadpan, desperately trying not to be an influencer in any fashion.

Congratulations on completing another year! I used to be in the ed biz. This time of year was always magical.
I ran the IT department and professional development, so I worked 12-months, but the summers were the best since most people were out of the building.
What will you do this summer? Favorite activities while not in the classroom?

:
Mustve shucked 100 pods by now
:
I saw Cube play in a backyard in Bed Stuy a couple of months ago. He put one of those big bags you get for moving mattresses over his whole rig and climbed inside. There was a fog machine in there and a small but mighty strobe. Throughout the set he kinda clawed his way out of the bag billowing fog over the neighborhood. A dog down the street started barking just after the set began. It is one of the coolest sets I’ve seen in years.

I definitely love drinking the brine from my ferments. Sauerkraut, pickles, kimchi. Just not too much. Too much sodium. But they also work as nicest bases for dressings. Sauerkraut brine and nutritional yeast is dope. With black pepper. And tahini. on radicchio. With zaatar seasoning.
