Hey all of you listeners out there! Nice to have ya on my team. Hope you're excited for the interview and the screening of the film at Monty Hall on Saturday May 2pm

Song:
"Ball and Chain" by "Big Mama Thornton and Buddy Guy"
I cannot believe I've never heard this version. Tangential note: for anyone (else) who loves Buddy Guy, if you haven't seen "Sinners," catch it while it's still streaming—Buddy has one of the best cameos ever.
8:43pm
Marie de Chicago:
Dug that Mama Thornton! Hi Suzy, hi All!. Buddy Guy has a great blues club just south of downtown Chicago and a monthly January residency in January where he plays evey night (nee itme I went and David Bowie’s guitartisst and Sinead O’Connoor were in the audience)
Used to go all the time when I lived there. A friend made a video from this year's residency, in which someone hands Buddy a drink as he's strolling through the crowd as he's playing. He proceeds to drink it *while continuing to play* without missing a beat. Just an amazing man.

Timinoak:
Thanks Suzy Hotrod and WFMU. Great thoughtful show.
Oh, that’s right. “Madge" (the busybody) tried to act like there wasn’t a problem and I said there is a problem and she was causing it and that she did not have the right to tell people to park in MY spots and in and eoffort to eliminate the problem I would be calling a tow truck, no questions asked, if I saw any vehicles there that I had not given permission to. The she said “It was an oversight!” (she’s lame)
such a beautiful song, reminds me of being a kid/before teenage years in the 80s

Whenever I lose count of how many tracks I've clicky-starred in a show, I just clicky-star the whole episode—and I'm pretty sure, without tallying it up, that Rock and Roller Derby tops my leaderboard there.
