I've seen them play a few times now, and they like to improvise a lot, but they do have songs that they return to, between the improvised parts. You never know how much of this was worked out before, and how much was made up on the fly. ♥ 10:52pm

It was a real honor to get to record / engineer them. They are still great! I saw them a handful of years ago, and they just blew the doors off the venue. They mostly stay in Japan, but if they come near you, go see them! They're really fun! 🎸 ♥ 10:55pm
Austin Rich: Drums are usually the hardest thing to record, and have it balance with the other instruments well. (Often, drums are just OVERPOWERING, when it comes to the other instruments.) I think I got a pretty good balance with these guys. ♥ 11:11pm

One of the saddest things to see happen at this radio station that I used to work at was to watch the vinyl collection slowly diminish over the years, as people would either steal or sell LPs, not thinking other DJs would care. I recall on a number of occasions - having been one of the longest running DJs at one point - that I would go into a staff meeting and BEG them to keep the records, because they were worth it in terms of the stations history. (Same with their massive CD collection, a lot of is from local artists.) The last time I was at KPSU, they had very little of their physical collection left. It was sort of a bummer. 11:35pm
