LCBD - I have procured a hot stimulant beverage made from the usual ground dark brown beans. Purchased at a way too-high price--and I said so while in the market though it's not the workers' fault. So, I'd better enjoy it. Best for your mid-week.
Not for long ... She came from a formerly wealthy family with a Greenwich Village Brownstone and no money[Think "Grey Gardens"], but her mother looked and spoke down to my Bklyn Irish Immigrant roots ... I split ..
I'll never forget Robert Pollard coming off stage after a great show and me giving him a congratulatory pat on the shoulder. He turned around and looked like he was about to punch me in the face. Luckily there were some people between us.
Hi LCBD! Thank you! Things are good. My brother is doing much better, thank goodness. He’s got his first gig coming up tomorrow. I’m a little nervous for him but he said he’ll be very cautious/careful. I’m excited for him too

Chicago = find the old trestle bridges that are usually let in the upright position along the inner outskirts of Chicago rivers/tributaries ... Also take a South El Train to the end and walk back to the center in a random way ...
per WP: "McCartney recalls writing "For No One" in the bathroom of a ski resort in the Swiss Alps while on holiday with his then girlfriend Jane Asher."
Because of this song, my mom would ask "Who's that band you like that does the Carpenters' cover?" before launching into what I think was a pretty good Thurston impression.
"In an early interview, Paul said that it was all about his own experience of living with a woman when he was fresh from leaving home. Later he was less specific, saying that he was thinking only of the character of a typical working girl."

PIDGE, my most memorable moments with JONATHAN RICHMAN were his several unannounced appearances in scenes from a film called "THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY" with BEN STILLER and CAMERON DIAZ. He popped up in several spots singing a running commentary on where the plot line was heading. Quite a unique technique and quite enjoyable.
He did some really interesting stuff in the early 80s. Always liked Empty Glass, really solid solo album. Remember the early days of MTV when it was all chaotic and you were likely to see a video for this song followed by Judas Priest followed by MJ?
