In addition to Godzilla's theme, I've always liked the Japanese Special Defense Force theme that plays in the movies. The JSDF aren't particularly effective, but they do have a memorable track at least.
looking at it now - yeah, never thought I'd see Lou Reed and Harlan Ellison in the same place. (Yeesh, imagine what would have happened if they were literally in the same place..?)
Believe it or not, I inherited this years best sci-fi 1994 and it says there were two compilations of post-Mortem stories about Elvis that year in it's introduction... but Bubba Hotep I had already heard of through the Lego Bubba Hotep mod for Doom III

Industrial Spinal Tap story, I can't remember who the band was but the guy was a guest on the Noiseextra podcast. He told a story about doing a show where they got an anvil for a show. Of it weighs a ton and it takes them forever to move it to the club and onto the stage...at which point, for the first time, one of them hits it with a hammer and gets a little, apologetic 'ping'. Because, you know, there's no real acoustic properties to an anvil. Good dropping on coyotes, not so much apocalyptic booming noises.

i originally thought that Bauhaus was singing "I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead," til a friend informed me it was "undead."
I dunno, I kinda like my version
When nature's most destructive force, the unstoppable, indescribable Godzilla attacks vacationers in Honolulu, Hawaii, no man, no military, no technology can stop his wrath. Only American high school teacher Linda Robertson (Ann-Margret) and her invention, the hydrogen liquidator, can stand in his way, but can the one man who believes her, off-duty airman Eli Roberts (Elvis Presley), launch the liquidator in time? Find out in MGM and Togo International's biggest Summer thriller yet, Godzilla vs. Hawaii GI.
I regularly misheard a lyric and would then find the actual lyric disappointing. I think Pre chrome dome Eno was onto something cool by just making up lyrics on the spot in hearing an instro playback. Mishearing is mysteriously good food
